Hi my name is Jamie and if your like me then you like to travel, and travel is especially plentiful during the summer months. The summer is a time where students are off of school and they can go on trips with their family or with friends. I myself look foward to summer to be off school and to visit new places. 

This year I only went on one vacation, to Memphis. I went to see the Titanic exhibit and to see Graceland, and being an Elvis fan I enjoyed it so much. But my favorite vacation is Disney World and Branson, Missouri. I went to Disney World when I was 7 and then when I was 10 and I totally loved it. The first time I went with my dad and the senior class at East St. John.  

Even though in Branson there aren't a lot of teenagers it's still my favorite vacation. The best thing is that year round the weather is beautiful. In the summer its cool and sunny and the winter there's snow all over. The second best thing is the shows. I've seen lots of good shows with the exception of 2 shows. My ultimate favorite is the Osmonds (picture of me with David Osmond). 
So as you can see I love vacationing and I've asked some other people what their favorite vacation is and why they like it.

Luella said that her favorite vacation was Gatlinburg, Tennessee. She liked it, for being at age 73, that was her first vacation she had ever been on. She went with her 2 daughters, and her daughter's husband and her granddaughter. 
 
All that were around her saw that she had a good time. They went in the mountains where Luella admitted that she was a little frightened. So frightened that she brought her rosary and said it on the way up. Luella and her daughter's bought matching hats, then they bought pins showing the places they had been and wore them on their hats. 

They went to Dollywood and saw a roomful of colorful butterflies. Luella also recalls a time when in their condo out in the woods, they saw a bear in the dumpster that was the highlight of her trip. She went for 2 weeks and she never had a better time. Luella then went to Branson last Thanksgiving with her daughter, her daughter's husband, and granddaughter. She also loved it there to.

Ida Mae said that her favorite vacation was Bay St. Louis she stays at a week a time when she goes. When she does go she goes to her sister's house so they don't have to get a hotel room. 

It's a time to catch up on all the family happenings and everyone is glad to see each other. 

She said that while she's there they eat a lot and have conversations about when they were younger. Every time she goes it is a memorable trip and she can't wait to see her sister again.

Irene said that her favorite vacation is Panama City, because she loves the beach and the scenery. 

She went for 5 days and stayed in a hotel that was located on the beach with her family. She also said that she loved the sound of the waves crashing upon the shoreline. 
Irene likes how, when being in the crystal clear blue water up to her shoulders she can still see her feet. She loves to get away from her LaPlace home and go on a journey to a new and exciting place. 

She also loves to lay on the beach and get a tan and also good view of the people passing by, especially the cute boys. While in Florida she also takes in shopping.

Robert and Vicki favorite vacation is Disney World. They flew to Disney world for the first time in 1989. Robert was already there chaperoning with his senior class and was awaiting the arrival of his daughter and wife, to spend 5 fun filled days in the Magic Kingdom. His wife Vicki and daughter Jamie would join him later because she had a dance recital so they weren't able to fly out with them the day before, so at 6:00 in the morning they left. 
I totally enjoyed it and I was spoiled among the seniors there. My parents and I enjoyed it so much we went back 2 yrs. later, and now I'm trying to get them to go for the 25th anniversary.

Bonnie said her favorite vacation was Arkansas. She liked Arkansas because it allowed her to see some hills which is something she never saw before living in Louisiana below sea-level. She also likes to travel anywhere that takes her away from her home. Bonnie enjoyed going to the Hallmark store where Bonnie bought neat stuff at bargain prices. She loves trying the local food and, even if she doesn't like it, it is worth it not having to cook. Bonnie and her family went for 2 fun filled weeks.

Alyssa said that her favorite vacation is Florida and Washington D.C. She likes Florida because she likes to play in the sand and build sandcastles. She, like her sister Irene, like to swim in the saltwater ocean. She enjoyed Washington D.C because it gave her a chance to meet some new and interesting people. She went for a week. While driving on the way Alyssa and her fellow classmates went to 6 flags in Atlanta, GA. 

She went on a roller coaster that went upside down and for some people this would have been a pain but not to Alyssa for she was snapping pictures on the ride while upside down. She also took along with her some good memories. This was her 8th grade trip and probably the last time she would see some of her classmates and be with her whole class.

Juanita said that she has more than one favorite. One of her favorites is Tahiti she went in 1986. The hotel she stayed at beautiful it had seats in the pool to sit by the bar to get snacks. She liked the pool because of the clear, cool water. Juanita liked the water at the ocean because in the picture you can see how the water is split into different colors of blue. She Liked how the palm trees in this picture looks like the zoo she liked how the lillypads just floated on the water. Juanita also liked this picture because of the little houses in the water and how the trees just emphasized the beauty of the place. 

Another place Juanita enjoyed going was Mexico. In Cozumel, Mexico she went in 1987. She enjoyed just sitting by the beach and having a cool drink and enjoying the view. 
 
In 1994 Juanita went to Italy. She went to see the Coliseum. Juanita said how she thought this was beautiful but she was afraid that she was going to fall in. By this picture this must be a beautiful place. 

Juanita sure has been many places only some of us can only dream of and I'm sure that they will have more fascinating trips like this.
